6th Grade Camp
Parents and Guardians:
It is time to start planning for the Sixth Grade Outdoor Education Program, commonly known as “Sixth Grade Camp.” This program provides a wonderful opportunity for your child to extend their learning beyond the classroom.
This year, Meadowbrook 6th grade students will attend Camp Cuyamaca, located in East San Diego County, the week of March 09-13, 2020. Registration forms are due by Friday, January 30, 2020 to your student’s social studies teacher.
The deadline to submit payment for 6th Grade Camp has been extended, and payment will be accepted from February 17th-March 2nd. Students wishing to pay prior to February 17th may submit payment directly to the Meadowbrook finance office.
The cost for camp is $410.00. Please make checks payable to MBMS. In an effort to provide the 6th grade camp experience to as many Meadowbrook students as are interested, financial assistance will be provided for families that are in need. Inquiries regarding financial assistance may be directed to the MBMS School Secretary, Mrs. Priscilla Simmons, at psimmons@powayusd.com.

Intradistrict Transfer
If you live in the Poway Unified School District boundaries and are interested in requesting a transfer to a school that is not your school of residence, you must submit a request during the transfer window of February 1 – March 31, 2020. No transfer requests will be accepted outside of this window, and no exceptions will be made. Note: if your student is currently on an Intradistrict Transfer and is moving to the next level (elementary to middle or middle to high school), he/she does not automatically move to the next school with their classmates. You must reapply for an Intradistrict Transfer. If your child is currently on an Intradistrict Transfer, his/her siblings do not automatically get into to the transfer school. You must apply for a separate Transfer for the sibling. Please click the link below for more information and frequently asked questions on transfer requests, as well as upcoming timelines for continuing student registration and new student enrollment. https://powayusd.com/en-US/Departments/Attendance-Discipline/Student-Transfer-Requests/FAQs-for-Residency-Transfers

Keep clipping! The Box Tops Drive is still going until June! Each Box Top is worth 10 cents for our school. Remember, there are two ways to earn:
1) Cut out the usual Box Top clips (unexpired) and put them in a Ziploc baggy or on a collection sheet. Drop them in the collection box labeled "Box Tops" in the front office.
