GES 4th Grade Earns HSE Foundation Grant
Our 4th Graders were rewarded with their student-led grant: There is More Than Corn in Indiana by the HSE Foundation this past week. The grant helps students buy $2,500 worth of books specific to their Indiana topics that they picked out for the ABCs of Indiana books. The 4th grade Gators are researching, writing, illustrating and publishing class books that families can buy that are all about Indiana! This grant will help students find information on their specific topics more easily than trying to dig through digital resources. We are thankful to our HSE Foundation for supporting our students' voice and choice. Thanks to our 4th grade STEM teachers, Mrs. Dobbins, Miss Freiberg, and Mrs. Scott for bring this opportunity to the HSE Foundation.
Artists of the Week
Congratulations to our kindergarten artists of the week! They were inspired by the illustrations in the book If the Dinosaurs Came Back by Bernard Most.
The featured artists are: Charlie P, Addiley B, La-Neige M, Omar M, Emma A, and Declan S.
Science Bowl Competition
Congratulations to the GES Science Bowl on a 3rd Place finish again this year! Mrs. Dobbins and the 4th grade participants competed in the statewide contest this past week.
