We had a great first week of school. I feel very fortunate to get to spend the year working with all of you. The children are learning quickly about the school and classroom routines and procedures. I am so proud of them.
Thank you also for returning the paperwork. If you haven't had a chance to return the yellow parent interview sheet please return ASAP.
Here are some friendly reminders:
"All About Me" Memory Bag: The project is due on Friday, August 25th.
Snack/Lunch: Please talk to your child about the importance of eating his/her lunch and snack. When our kiddos don't eat lunch and/or snack, it makes for a hard afternoon of concentration and energy.
Headphones/earphones-Your child will need them during our Reading Rotations time. Please put them in a ziplock bag and write your child's name on it.
Hand sanitizer- It would be helpful if your child has a little bottle of hand sanitizer attached to their lunch box so they could use for lunch and snack time.
Have a great week, Mrs. Stremel

Classroom Information
Birthdays
Classroom Celebration
Our class will celebrate the birthday scholar with a birthday cheer, dance, and song.
Class Birthday Goody Bags
You may send in non-edible items: small toys, erasers, pencils or trinkets. Please Do Not include candy due to the District Wellness Policy.
Birthday Invitations
If your child is passing out invitations at school, please be sure that all students in the class are invited. This prevents tears for our sensitive first graders.
Donate Library Book: You can donate a “Birthday Book” to the Library. Please put your child's name and room number (203) on the book with a sticky note or insert a paper. You can hand your child's birthday book into the office to give to Mrs. Ellis (the librarian), or your child can give their book to me and I will give it to Mrs. Ellis. During the next flag salute, Mrs. Ellis will have your child come up to the front of the assembly (where she is standing) and she will announce the book donated. Then the school will sing happy birthday to your child.
