GOOGLE APPS
Google Apps is a set of web based applications provided by Google, including G-Mail, Google calendar, Google Docs, and Google Drive. We will use Google calendar and Google Drive, and will communicate through the school gmail.
EXPECTATIONS
Students will have independent reading and during reading homework on a regular basis.
All students must come to class prepared and be willing to participate in all class activities.
Late assignments may not be accepted or may be penalized.
Courtesy must be displayed at all times to everyone. Distracting and disruptive behavior is unacceptable.
ABSENCES & MAKE-UP WORK
Students are responsible for collecting missed assignments on the day they return to school. STUDENTS SHOULD CHECK THEIR EMAIL, THE CLASS AGENDA, AND GOOGLE CALENDAR TO CHECK FOR MESSAGES AND MAKE-UP WORK. Make-up work will be in the class folder in the make-up work box. Missed assessments must be made up outside of scheduled class time, and turned in within the designated time frame, which will vary based on the length and circumstances of the absence.
Because of the important nature of this required course, students may not be excused from English class in order to complete work for another class. Before missing class for any school-related activities (i.e. field trips), students must check with the instructors for permission. Unapproved absences will be considered unexcused.

ACADEMIC INTEGRITY: All students at Queen Anne’s County High School are expected to conduct themselves with great pride in academics and the community at large. To this end, it is expected that all students will maintain academic integrity in every assignment. Work must be completed individually unless otherwise directed by the teacher. Plagiarism is a severe offense at QACHS and will result in immediate consequences.
