Balclutha Primary School - T2, Wk 3
Newsletter 20 May 2022
Principal's Report
Welcome to Week 3.
On Monday night our Board of Trustees met and reviewed our current COVID settings. It was decided that as there is still a significant COVID presence in our school and our wider community. We will continue with our current settings for the time being.
A reminder that our current settings are:
- mask use for all adults and students Year 4 and up when inside at school
- no large gatherings indoors
- limited additional visitors on site
- students and staff who are unwell, or have cold and flu symptoms are unable to attend school
The Board will continue to monitor the situation and will review our settings once our COVID numbers start to reduce.
As a school we continue to work around absent staff and ensure that all our students have minimal disruptions to learning. Balclutha Primary has not been fully staffed since Week 6 of last term (early March). This has put added pressure on our entire school community, and we are very grateful for the wonderful way our school community has worked together and supported each other over the past couple of months. I think we are all looking forward to putting this behind us and having all our staff and students back at school.
Ngā mihi nui,
Vicki Neave
