Conference Transportation
Conference Check-In
The SRLA registration desk will be open from 2:00 – 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday 2/28. It is located within a few feet of the hotel registration desk. To avoid the Thursday morning rush, I would encourage you to check in when you get your hotel room key. Those arriving after 5:30 on Thursday can check-in on Thursday morning.

Please note the following regarding the schedule:
Wednesday, February 28th
- The JLAS Editorial Board Meeting is from 5:00 - 5:30 PM at the Menger Hotel (See Thomas Baker for the specific room)
- SRLA Welcome Social will be held at Casa Rio on the San Antonio Riverwalk. Beginning at 6:00 p.m., we will gather at this historic restaurant. It is a quick 3-4 minute walk from the Menger Hotel. The dress is casual (western wear preferred). The land grant for this restaurant was provided by the King of Spain in 1777. We have reserved the Texas Room for your dining, drinking, and relaxing pleasure, including an attached balcony that overlooks the River. This is one Paul Batista's favorite restaurants, and he highly recommends the chili. The Welcome Bash is sponsored by Texas A&M University Sport Management and will feature complimentary drinks and hors d'oeuvres. The social will conclude at 9:00 PM.
Thursday, March 1st
- The SRLA Keynote Luncheon will be held from 12:00 - 2:00 PM in the Minuet Room.
- The Student Social will be held at Pizza Rita's on the Riverwalk. Meet Jim Evans, Student Representative in the Menger Lobby at 6:30 PM to walk over for dinner.
- The SRLA Business Meeting will be held from 8:00 - 9:15 AM in Ballroom A.
- SRLA Awards Luncheon will be held at 12:00 -1:30 PM in the Minuet Room.
- Poster Session & Teaching and Learning Symposium will be from 1:30 - 2:15 PM in Poolside Area Hallway
Saturday, March 3rd
- The Saturday morning breakfast will be held from 8:30 - 9:25 AM in the Minuet Room. The breakfast will celebrate Herb Appenzeller and is sponsored by Carolina Academic Press.

This year the raffle will take place after the Saturday morning breakfast; if there are any items you have received in past years that you wish to "re-raffle", bring those along as well.
