2017-2018 Parent Input Forms- Placement Information -- Due Today!
In making class assignments, our goal is to place each child in a class in which he or she can be most successful while maintaining a balance among classes in terms of gender, academic ability, disciplinary and social needs, learning styles, and individual needs of the students. All information shared is confidential and submitted electronically to Amanda Prehn.
We hope to make classroom assignments that will maximize the opportunity for your child’s success. If you have information you would like considered in your child’s placement, you may complete and submit this form no later than May 16, 2017. Please limit your input to the way your child learns and special needs we should consider. Staffing and staff assignments for next year have not yet been finalized. We will not be able to honor requests for a specific teacher, however we will do our best to honor your feedback.

West Cypress Artists Receive Exemplary & Top of TEAM Medals!!!!
Art Teacher, Lindsie Davis announced that West Cypress Hills did an AMAZING job at the Texas Elementary Art Meet (TEAM) this year!! Student artwork was judged on a 1-3 scale (1-Growing, 2-Good and 3-Exemplary). In addition, there was also one “Top of TEAM” chosen for all students in each grade levels K-3, and two “Top of TEAM” for each grade levels 4-5; these works are considered the “Best in Show” and the top 10% of the state for each level.
This year all West Cypress Hill’s artists received EXEMPLARY ratings (3) and earned medals! All eight artists earned 12 out of 12 points, earning West Cypress an amazing zero- deduction sweep! And if that wasn’t fantastic enough, we also had TWO artists awarded with Top of TEAM!!
