COVID Vaccine Opportunity

Students 16 and older at Portland school districts, including PPS, are being offered a new opportunity for free-of-charge COVID-19 vaccinations, starting this week at the Oregon Convention Center. If your 16+ student has not yet been vaccinated, we hope you will take advantage of this opportunity.

Students will receive the Pfizer vaccine; it is a two-shot series, with the doses given approximately three weeks apart. Dates in the form linked below are to receive the first dose.

This opportunity is also available to family members of high school students. Simply fill out a form for each family member to schedule their vaccination appointment. The appointments will be on Wednesdays in May.

Please complete this form to schedule your student’s vaccination. If you will need a ride to and from the Oregon Convention Center, please indicate that in the form and someone will follow up with you to confirm space on one of our bus shuttles.

Please reach out to your school counselor if support is needed in navigating this college process.

Tips to Remind Students for Mental Wellness

  1. Prioritize Sleep- When we're sleep-deprived our anxiety levels increase
  2. Break a Sweat- You may already be aware that excercise releases endorphins, which can lift our mood
  3. Practice Mindfulness- Mindfulness brings awareness to our thoughts, feelings, physical sensations, and behaviors in the present moment.
  4. Set Boundaries- It's crucial to protect our time and space to allow ourselves to prioritize our mental health
