Chinchilla's
Describe the animal.
The Chinchilla is a crepuscular rodent, slightly confused with a squirrels tail and rabbits body. They are a grey color, on average about 9-11 inches long and can live up to 10-15 years.

The Chinchilla is born by breeding. Breeding can sometimes hurt the mother and she will not survive the birth. You can touch the chinchilla’s after they are born, the mother does not care. New born chinchilla’s are called kits. After they are born they are running all over the cage or place.

Chinchilla’s eat hay grass, fruits and chinchilla pellets. They get there food by themselves and find it on trees or on the ground.

The Chinchilla native habitat is The Andes Mountain Range. The also live in Chile and in the homes of American people. They live in harsh conditions and very low humidity.

Their enemies are foxes, snakes, owls and hawks. They live in a group of 100 chinchilla’s or more. To defend itself the female pees in fright and other chinchillas hide when they sense danger.
