A Message From the Walker Administrative Team

We are in the homestretch of the 2018-2019 school year. We will be administering our state assessment, The ACT Aspire, with students in 3rd, 4th and 5th-grade next week, April 22-26. We will need your partnership during this week so that we can finish strong. Please ensure that your child gets a good night's rest, eats a healthy breakfast, and arrives at school before 8:00 a.m. We ask that you do not check your child out of school for appointments during this week. We have prepared for this all year, and we ask that you encourage your child to do their best and remind them that they are ready. We can't wait to celebrate the great work they will do. A newsletter from the Arkansas Department of Education about ACT Aspire will be going home with all 3rd, 4th, and 5th-grade students on Monday, April 15th. An electronic copy of this newsletter in English and Spanish can be found in the links below.

Thank you for being an important part of our Walker family and helping our Wildcats to become college and career ready!

Mrs. Lynn Ryan, Principal

Mrs. Carrie Farris, Assistant Principal

Upcoming Events

Attendance Matters!

During our final 6 weeks of the year, please continue making regular school attendance a priority for your children. Research tells us that missing even 2 days a month has a negative impact on most students. Help us support our Wildcats by bringing them to school on time each day unless they are too ill to attend. We miss them when they're not here!

3rd Annual Walker Senior Walk

Do you know of a high school senior who attended Walker Elementary? Please invite them to our 3rd Annual Senior Walk on Tuesday, May 14th at 1:30 p.m. so we can celebrate their graduation.

Lost & Found

Our lost and found is full of student items (coats, sweatshirts, hats, etc.) If you are missing items, please have your child check the lost and found area in the front hallway. Please write your child's name on all personal items that they bring to school.
