Purchase Requests (per Pat)
All purchases must be approved in advance, including any purchase a teacher makes and then requests reimbursement for. It is still up to the teacher to secure a copy of our sales tax exempt form from the office before making any purchase as we do not reimburse for sales tax.
Each regular classroom, full time teacher (this excludes specials teachers as they have a different budget), have $150/year available to them for expenses specific to their classroom. These funds are not to be spent on regular items that we already purchase for classrooms, (which is another reason for the prior approval). If they put in their purchase request through the normal intranet process, we can usually purchase items at a lower cost through our established vendors. I try to process all purchase requests at least twice a month.
If they intend to use these funds for their classrooms, they need to do so prior to spring break.

To Nicole for doing her snow dance
Everyone who brought all the food
From Erin:
Thank you Kate for helping clear snow off of staff cars after school Monday.
Thank you Becky, Sami, Melissa, Stephanie, Kelsey, Sara V, Nikki and Mary for weathering the storm and keeping our kids safe for driveline. Sara, the extra help was immensely appreciated.
Thank you to everyone for the amazing Thanksgiving spread. We have some amazing culinary talent here.
I am thankful for everyone in our K-3 family. It is so enjoyable to come to work everyday and grow through each of you.
From Tona:
The entire staff who shared food and love for our Friendsgiving luncheon.
Charlotte and Heather for organizing our Friendsgiving luncheon.
Mary and Todd for doing formal observations and giving us valuable feedback and for always supporting us with love and kindness.
Brandy for making pretty bows for my Christmas decorations.
Charlotte for teaching generations of kinders the, "I'm a Turkey" song. I think we need a whole staff lesson. It's hilarious!
The driveline crew for making things run smoothly on Monday in the snow...and every day!
Denise for dealing with poop accidents. I'm sorry! No, Aaron, it wasn't me, so don't start!
Aaron for making stem one of the highlights of the week for kinders.
So, so many things are missed on my list. I'm so thankful for coming to a place where I love what I do and the people in that place!
From Samantha:
Shout out to every staff member at New Vision for making our school truly feel like a home away home. I feel so blessed to be apart of this amazing family of ours!
From Nicole:
Shout out to Erin who brushed the snow off my windows exactly at the moment that I panicked that I didn’t have my scraper in the van. What a nice surprise and gesture!
From Kelsey:
Shoutout to Charlotte for rushing to her desk and giving me headache medicine when I said I had a headache! She made my day by going out of her way to help me out without me even asking her to :)
Shoutout to Sammi for always decorating the school with student art and making it feel even more welcoming and like a community. I've heard a few of the 4-8 teachers say it makes them wish they taught younger grades.
Shoutout to Debbie for organizing and keeping organized the massive lost and found! It's possible to put things in the lost and found and to find them now that items have been organized into labeled bins :)
From Ali:
Shout out to Debbie for having the biggest heart and going above and beyond to make sure our families and kids at New Vision are loved and taken care of in all the ways we can provide.

To Kelsey Easton for always staying in the Lobby to entertain the kiddos waiting to be picked up after driveline. She plays games, sings songs, dances and makes the time fly for them while waiting. Thank you so much Kelsey!!

MTSS team:
For always being willing to help a student, even if it means letting them take needed breaks in your room. And for always pushing me to expand my ideas of how to help my students. You guys are such amazing resources for both teachers and students!
Mary and Todd:
For knocking out so many observations before thanksgiving break. You are helping us all become the best teachers we can be!

Shout out to Alley for running back to my classroom before the assembly and grabbing my coffee I left behind. You the real MVP!
