Hapara Update (Messaging Students)

When you send messages to your students in Hapara, they receive the message on their end. It will appear in a pop-up in the center of the student's screen. However, now messages will stay on students' screens until they click OK or dismiss the message. This will help ensure students read the message and do not click it off the screen by mistake.

Hapara Current Screens Update

The Hapara platform has recently updated its system to coincide with its new privacy policy. With this update comes changes to the way you see "Current Screens" under the "Highlights" tab in your Hapara platform. If students are in a Google Meet, you will only be able to see a message explaining which Google Meet they are currently in. The message only provides you with the Google Meet code they are utilizing during instruction. When looking at current screens, you now have the ability to quickly see which students have not joined the Google Meet since the Google Meet message will not appear. You can also check to see if students are in the wrong meeting based on the Google Meet code provided. Since this is a new update, it will take a few seconds for the "Current Screens" to adjust to block those images. Please, review the quick video attached about the changes and updates to Hapara. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to me, thank you.

Don't Forget To Check Out Our Technology Resources

Our Staff Corner has a Technology Resource page with a menu of different subscriptions that we have access to in our district or recommend to be utilized during virtual or hybrid instruction. When you click on the icons, you will have access to a variety of resources and information pertaining to that particular technology subscription or tool. This can include newsletters, videos, documents, presentations, etc.

This year if you would like to highlight a staff member...

Please email Carla Segarra at carla_segarra@nbpsnj.net, to be considered for our district-wide newsletters. This is a great way to recognize our staff for all the amazing work they do.
