What is Environmental Engineering?
Environmental engineers solve environmental issues by using soil science, chemistry, biology, and engineering. Some of the issues that these skills help environmental engineers to solve recycling, public health, and water pollution. I'm interested in this specific field of engineering because I really like learning about the environment, and learning how to help the environment. I also like engineering, and it would be great to pursue a career combining two things that I'm very interested in.
Typical Day of an Environmental Engineer:
Environmental Engineers are responsible for solving different issues in our growing population, such as, government regulations, improving environmental quality, and utilizing resources as best as we can. There is no typical place that an environmental engineer works, outside of an office, because they can work in many different settings. Depending on what project they are working on, they can work anywhere from a field to a construction zone.
