FJVD Weekly Info
We Live the Word!
From the Principal's Desk
There's quite a bit of information included in our Newsletter this week, including but not limited to:
- Information on our upcoming Auction Kick-Off and Event
- Additional extracurriculars including SPARK Business Academy and FJVD Dance Club
- Details on the upcoming Ss. John and Paul Irish Night in celebration of St. Patrick's Day
- Initial information on the FJVD Read-a-thon starting March 26th
And much, much more!
To that end, I will keep the reflection this week relatively short, and invite all of us to simply reflect on a passage from this Sunday's 2nd Reading from the Letter of St. Paul to the Romans. St. Paul writes:
"We have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ... and we boast in hope of the glory of God. And hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out into our hearts..."
I pray that this Lenten season is an opportunity for each of us not only to grow in peace, as St. Paul mentions, but also in hope, for it does not disappoint!

Morning Prayer Service
We are so grateful to have parents join us for prayer service in the gym each morning. It is a wonderful opportunity to come together in prayer as a community, which is an essential part of our mission and identity as a Catholic school.
We encourage any families who wish to join us for prayer service to do so; however, we kindly ask that parents staying for prayer remain in the rear of the gym rather than standing with their students in line during prayer service. Doing so assists teachers with taking appropriate attendance and helps students transition effectively into the school day.
In addition, we encourage students not to bring toys or other items into prayer service, as they may be lost/broken or become a distraction.
As always, please be assured of my prayers for you and your families.
God bless and go Saints!
Sincerely,
Mr. Peloquin
