Celebrating our Heritage
On October 4, 2019, St. Agatha School celebrated our Hispanic Heritage Mass. Many students participated by representing numerous countries, for instance, Uruguay, Cuba, Colombia, Venezuela, Mexico, and the motherland of all of our hispanic countries, Spain. Besides Hispanic Heritage, at this Mass the feast day of St. Francis of Assisi and our St. Agatha Grandparents Day were also celebrated.
It was a special mass that included music from the St. Agatha choir in both English and Spanish. The choir also played various hispanic instruments. Isabella Ismael, who participated in the choir, says, "It was fun because I was doing something I love: singing. I also thought that singing in Spanish and in English was a very unique experience." Overall, the Hispanic Heritage Mass was an astounding event. From the parading of the flags to the choir singing, it was truly beautiful.

Boys Primary Soccer Season Ends Victoriously!
The Boys Primary Soccer Team had a great season with only one loss against St. Kevin. This year’s primary soccer team was probably the toughest one yet! Despite competing against experienced teams, our boys just came in stronger and ended up winning and tying the games. These boys just kept on getting better and better by practicing with their amazing coach, Coach Carlos Pernias. They displayed great footwork and learned to constantly pass the ball to each other. When asked what he liked best about being on the soccer team, Defender, Tiago Cusano, stated, “My favorite part about being part of the Boys Primary Soccer Team is playing with friends and celebrating our wins. Even if we were losing, we would just keep on celebrating and playing no matter what”. This was an impressive and outstanding season. Congratulations to our Boys Primary Soccer Team!

We Are One Body ~ 4B's Class Mass
Last Sunday, 4B joined together for their class mass. Afterwards, students and families shared lunch. The best part of the lunch was not the eating, but the fact that students and parents got to know each other better. A great idea was an activity where a ball was passed around and whomever held the ball had to answer a series of questions. This activity broke the ice and encouraged everyone to share something about him or herself.
After that, families were treated to yellow rice with cheese on top, Caesar salad, and chocolate cake. The food was provided by the class that last had their class mass. Having the last class serve for the next supports the school’s theme this year, “We are one body." Next mass, 4B will serve for 4A. Class Mass and luncheon is a great way to share time with your family and friends.
