Wow! We are finally here and all excited about coming back to school!

We welcome all of our students K-5 to Madison on the afternoon of Tuesday, August 23rd from 12:45 - 1:15 p.m. This is meant to be a very, very quick visit and drop off of supplies at school. Students will have a chance to see their new classrooms and quickly meet their teachers too!

Wednesday, August 24th! Parents, please make sure you allow yourself ample time in the morning and in the afternoon as there are typically lots of crowds and cars on the first day of school. We invite families who are able to walk to school to walk vs. using your vehicle. The weather looks like it'll be mostly sunny and in the low 80's. A great day for a first day of school!

8:15 a.m. - Outside Supervision Begins; Breakfast Program Begins (Cafeteria entrance located near the playground)

8:27 a.m. - Line Up Bell - Students line up in their designated line up areas here

8:30 a.m. - Doors Open; Student entry begins

8:35 a.m. - Class begins

3:15 p.m. - Dismissal - (11:40 a.m. on ½ days and 1:15 p.m. on Early Release Days)

Parents... often there are lots of information to send out to families (last week's newsletter is a great example!) and every bit is extremely important. I've heard that information seems to be missed, appears to be too embedded in all of the information that's sent out in emails and newsletters where it's considered 'fine print' for many. We try to send out paper fliers to families when absolutely needed. So, I'd like to hear from you... Are there other ideas on how information can be sent out so it's read by more? Let me know and email me your ideas for consideration. Thanks in advance for your feedback! I look forward to a wonderful new school year ahead!

08/23 - Sneak Peek/ Supply Drop Off/ Meet the Teacher, 12:45 - 1:15 p.m.

08/24 - First Day of School for K-5 - Full Day for grades 1 - 5, 3:15 p.m. dismissal; 1/2 day for Kindergarten, 11:40 a.m. dismissal

08/25 - 1/2 day for Kindergarten

08/26 - 1/2 day for Kindergarten; PTA Playground Meet Up

08/29 - First Full Day for Kindergarten

09/01 - Curriculum Night, 5 - 7:15 p.m. (See Schedule Above - Parents Only)

09/05 - Labor Day, No School

09/08 - PTA Meeting, 7 p.m.

09/19 - Early Release (ER) Day, All Students are dismissed at 1:15 p.m.
