Algebra 1 FSA Review
Tips and resources to better help you prepare for the FSA
You have taken the first step to passing the FSA! We are glad you are here for some additional resources!
Why do I have to take this test?
Students who entered grade 9 in 2014-15 and beyond must pass the FSA Algebra 1 EOC assessment for graduation purposes, and students must earn passing scores on the Geometry and Algebra 2 EOC assessments to earn a standard diploma with a scholar designation. For more information, including comparative score and alternate passing score information, please see Graduation Requirements for Statewide Assessments.
What can I do to better prepare myself for the Algebra 1 FSA retake?
- Know when and where you are testing (stressing the morning of the test is not going to help you pass! Contact Ridgewood H.S. if you have questions: (727) 774-3900, or call your school to find out when and where you are testing if you are not a RHS student.)
- Eat breakfast (studies prove that if you are not hungry, you will score higher)
- Take a practice test
- Know what is on the test
- Diversify your studying (Not everyone learns the same way. Make sure you practice using a variety of resources. Here is how to identify your learning style.)
- REST the night before and get plenty of sleep
- Double-check your answers before you submit the test
- Be positive, YOU CAN DO IT!
