11.15 - 12.30 p.m. Exploring Yoga History, Philosophy, and Cultural Commodification

12.30 - 1.30 p.m. Lunch (will be provided)

1.30 - 3.30 p.m. Non-violent Communication

3.30-4.00 p.m. Break (snacks provided)

4.00-5.30 p.m. Yoga Asana Lab (Arm balances and Inversion. Headstand and Shoulderstand. Understanding Anatomy and Optimal Health.

Sunday, April 27

9-11 a.m. Pranayama and the Art of Meditation

11.15-12.30 p.m. Understanding the Yamas and Niyamas and the 8 Fold path

12.30-1.30 p.m. Lunch (will be provided)

1.30-3.00 p.m. Living Truth and the Art of Personality development

3.00-3.15 p.m. Break (snacks provided)

3.15-5.30 p.m. Your Story, Your Ancestors (what does it mean to be Indian in America)? Hard questions in understanding Cultural and Racial Diversity.

What to Bring for the Retreat

  • Yoga Mat

  • A Pillow

  • Yoga Block or Strap (not required but recommended)

  • Notebook with a Pen/ Pencil
