Thank you for your Service Anne Dozeman Wisener!

ACOVA would like to congratulate Anne Dozeman Wisener on her upcoming retirement from public education on September 15, 2022. Anne will be moving on to begin her next adventure in private industry working for a non-profit. Anne's career has spanned middle school and high school CTE teaching as well as CTE Professional Development in the Peoria Unified School District. Anne has spent the last nine years as CTE Director for the Agua Fria Union High School District. In addition, Anne has served on the ACTE AZ Board, ACOVA Board, and has had many years of service to FBLA and ABEA. We wish Anne all the best on her next steps of her amazing career journey!

Final Narrative for AZ CTE Industry Credentials Incentive for FY22 is due September 30th. This can be uploaded to the grant .

The next Critical Issues Session

The top critical issues the ACOVA board will be tackling along with ADE and relevant partners include:

  • Recruitment of CTE Teachers
  • Shortage of Substitute Teachers
  • Graduate Placement Survey Solutions
  • Retention of CTE Teachers and Staff
  • Decrease and non-renewal of the Governor's Incentive Fund (for Industry Credentials)

*This is not an all inclusive list but represents issues of priority to 30 or more Arizona CTE Administrators.
