When reporting an absence, please call our school’s attendance line at 920-662-7875 prior to the start of each school day.
Unless an emergency exists, all absences that are for more than 1 full day and not related to illness or injury require the completion of a Pre-Excused Absence Form at least 48 hours prior to the absence. The link to the form is below. Please note that this form requires both the parent and teachers' signatures.

There are a lot of items in our lost and found again! Please click the link below to see if anything belongs to your student! Items not claimed by noon on Tuesday, November 21st will be donated to the Giving Tree.
BAY VIEW WRESTLING
The Bay View Middle School Wrestling Team includes 5th through 8th graders. All experience levels are encouraged to participate. Practice is daily Monday-Friday, 3:30-5:30 at Bay View Middle School (in our new wrestling room!) Practice begins December 12th. Competitions occur weeknights (usually Tuesdays) and some Saturday Tournaments.

Our district team of school social workers has put together a fantastic summary of school and community resources. Trick-or-treating is behind us, with Thanksgiving quickly approaching. GIVING TREE
The Giving Tree is registering families for our December Holiday Store. Please reach out to your school social worker if you think your student may benefit from assistance with The Giving Tree. For our generous community, check out our website for more information on donating to our Holiday Store.
This month we are collecting feminine care products (tampons most needed). Please feel free to send donations with your students to put in the collections bins/carts near the main office of school. Items can also be dropped off during school hours. You can also donate at one of our community drop off locations:

BOYS NIGHT OUT
WEST SIDE YMCA
THURSDAYS | NOV 2 - DEC 21 (will not meet on Nov 23)
6:15-8:15 PM
$40 per participant (Y members and general public)
Boys Night Out is a 7-week program designed for 5th & 6th graders in our community. Led by our Y staff and college-aged male volunteers, youth will have weekly themed activities, social time, healthy snacks, and an exciting physical activity such as sports games, swimming, self-defense, fitness, and so much more! We will celebrate the end of our program with an optional overnight trip to YMCA Camp U-Nah-Li-Ya December 16-17, 2023 (additional fee of $40 per participant).
This program is designed for all 5th & 6th grade youth, regardless of gender identity or gender expression.
THEMES MAY INCLUDE: healthy choices, transition to 6th & 7th grade/middle school, life skills, positive peer relationships, and more.
The Bay Port tennis club is back for the winter! We will offer 2 sessions, one in November/December and the other in January/February. All classes will be held at Four Seasons tennis club in Allouez and will be hosted by Western Racquet tennis pros. If you have any questions please let us know!

Hilly Haven Golf Course is offering golf classes for kids ages 4-10 on Friday’s from 5-6pm with specific dates starting in November all the way through March. To register or for more information click either of the above links.
Bay Nordic is offering a youth ski program open to ages 3-12 that will meet for (6) Saturday sessions located at the Reforestation Camp. Check their website for other program opportunities for middle and high school along with adults.
The Green Bay Area Youth Hockey Association is offering a Try Hockey for Free Event. Upcoming dates are Saturday November 4th & December 2nd from 10 to 10:50 am with more dates to come in 2024. Recommended for kids ages 4-9.
Join The Children's Museum of Green Bay on Tuesday, November 28th from 4-6:30 pm for a FREE night! Included is a FREE nutritious meal (while supplies last), FREE museum play, Scavenger hunt, a visit from the Green Bay Police Department and Hands-on activities!
The Green Bay Packers and Festival Foods are hosting their 17th Annual Festival of Lights. It will be held on Saturday, December 2nd from 5-7pm at Lambeau Field & admission is FREE.
NEW Zoo & Adventure Park Volunteer Opportunities
The NEW Zoo & Adventure Park is currently in great need of volunteers to help with a variety of experiences, including things like giraffe and children’s zoo feedings, assisting with large zoo events (such as the upcoming “Zoo Boo!”), running the carousel, routine cleaning and maintenance, animal encounters, and much more. The zoo accepts volunteers as young as 8 years old with chaperone assistance, and those ages 15+ can be here on their own. Volunteering at the zoo is a great opportunity for families, individuals, and groups of all sizes, and opportunities are available for both one-time and continuing experiences.
Unlike most accredited zoos in the country, the NEW Zoo is fully self-funded and does not receive any tax support for operations. This means their budget is small and they rely on the community for support! The NEW Zoo is dedicated to conservation and education. Supporting the NEW Zoo helps us achieve our mission of connecting our community with wildlife and nature. To learn more:
