How Sick is Too Sick?
- Persistent, loud or productive cough
- Nausea, vomiting and/or diarrhea

- Not feeling well enough to participate in class (unable to focus, overly tired)
Warm Weather Choices
We are so excited that it is beginning to feel like Spring and almost Summer with this beautiful weather we are having. As it warms up, we are seeing more dress code violations with our young men and women.
We need your assistance as parents, as part of our "Manning Village", to check that your student is meeting dress code standards when they leave home.
In our parent/student handbook in accordance with Jeffco District Policy Dress Code for our Manning Staff and Students states:
"DRESS CODE
The Manning School believes in high standards for student behavior and conduct so that the students can focus on learning. The Manning administration is responsible for working with students on all dress code violations. If a student violates the dress code, the student will be called to the office and the parent will be called to bring them something else to wear. At this time, the student will have the option to fix the dress code violation prior to returning to class if we have clothing to change into, but we are running low. Students who violate the dress code repeatedly will be disciplined according to The Manning School guidelines and Jefferson County Public Schools Conduct Code for defiance."
**ANY Manning Staff member may “dress code” a student and send them to the office for a change of clothes.
We have been seeing many students wearing half shirts under their jackets with spaghetti straps and then unzipping the hoodies, so you see the straps, undergarments, and bellies. Also, male and female running shorts that barely cover their backsides. If your student wants to wear running shorts, please make sure they have spandex shorts underneath. The spandex must be visible and go below the running short hem. Additionally, tight tank tops are being worn that would typically be used as an undershirt for our young men.
Consequences for offenses may result in after school detention, lunch detention, in-school suspension, out of school suspension and/or loss of school participation in activities in alignment with Jeffco Public Schools Discipline Policies.
Respectfully,
Danelle Yocum
