Quotes from 'Of Studies'

By Sir Francis Bacon
"Crafty men condemn them, simple men admire them, wise men use them."

I chose this quote because Bacon explains how different types of men treat studies. Not every man is the same and their views and opinions of things will be different.

"Read not to contradict, nor to believe, but to weigh and consider. Some books are to be tasted, others to be swallowed, and some few to be chewed and digested."

I chose this quote because Bacon explains why we should read. He also tells the readers that not every book is read the same way, each book is read different because each book tells a different story and provides different information.
