Pumpkin Math
On Friday, October 26th our class will be welcoming fall with “Pumpkin Math.” If you are able to, please send your child to school with a small pumpkin (5-10 lbs – no bigger than a soccer ball) on or before October 26th. (please do not send them in too early as they may rot and our space is limited!) We will be measuring the pumpkin's circumference, height, average “mean” vertical lines, and weight. Students will chart and graph their data.
If you are available on October 26th from 10:45-11:45 and would like to join in on the fun and help out, that would be most appreciated. I would like to have four parents in total, one at each station (circumference, height, vertical lines, weight). Please email me if you are available and would like to help! I will randomly draw names for volunteers.
