Principal’s Prose
Greetings Team,
What a week! I can only attempt to express the level of satisfaction and joy felt this opening week of this awesome school year. Our students have come filled with energy, expectancy and excitement, as they should be...after all, we ARE what they have been waiting for! Each one of our amazing team members “made it a point” to be great in their instructional interactions, with students, parents and with each other in the most supportive of ways. I personally saw warm welcomes, SEL strategies being implemented, routines being taught and clearly conveyed expectations being absorbed by students. The team that we have is incredibly special, and I can not wait to witness, experience and participate in the fruition of GREATNESS to come in 2019-2020 at Sudie TAG!
As we step forward into our second week, the focus now must be transitioning beyond the initial introductions and immersing deeply into instruction. At this point, the pre assessments you are conducting are supplying you with critical information you will need to move forward with your students, and documented supports are providing the blueprints and direction needed to lead all students towards success. This second week is indeed crucial towards cultivating classroom and school culture, reinforcing and rewarding what’s already been taught and synchronizing our schedules so that we are all on the same page. Get ready, as there’s lots to stay ready for this week!
THANK YOU all for such a super start! I look forward to a successful second step in our journey this second week at Sudie! Remember, make it a point to be your best you!
Sincerely,
MJ
