Empower Update

During the end of November and the month of December, students in Empower will be experiencing new modules! The fifth graders will get an introduction to World Languages with our FLEX module, and our K-4 students will address a need in their community with our Make a Difference Module.

MAKE A DIFFERENCE MODULE

After School Enrichment

After School Enrichment (ASE) is a program run by the PTO which allows students to explore a new interest with a one or two day commitment. Classes will take place in February right after school at Wild Rose and are open on a first come basis to only Wild Rose students. Class topics include sports, art, nature, and more. Cost is usually between $3-$20. Please be on the lookout for more information about ASE classes and registration right after Winter Break.

ASE requires the support of MANY volunteers. Please take a look at your February calendar. If you think you will be able to volunteer 1.5 hours of your time to help run this event, please contact the office immediately to start the fingerprint process. A volunteer sign-up will be available in January

Volunteer Protocol Reminder

Below is a friendly reminder of volunteer protocol with upcoming volunteer opportunities such as holiday parties, classroom help, LRC help, and after school enrichment.

  • All volunteers will need to show proof of complete vaccination or a negative covid test taken within 72 hours of the volunteer date.

  • All volunteers will need to fill out a volunteer liability form. This form needs to be filled out every school year. Volunteer Liability form can be found here.

  • If you plan on being a repeat volunteer, fingerprinting will need to be completed. Fingerprinting consent form can be found here. This consent form will be submitted to our HR, who will then send back the finger printing form to the Wild Rose office. Brittany will contact you once we have the form here at our office. You will then need to schedule an appointment with Kane County ROE and complete the fingerprinting.

Please return the completed forms to the office, or email to Brittany Schambach - brittany.schambach@d303.org.

Band Update
