Author Joelle Charbonneau will visit our school on Wednesday, October 2nd to talk about her books (including her new book Verify) and her career. At the end of her appearance, she will sign books for any students who wish to purchase them. This author visit is made possible by Webster Groves’ independent bookstore THE NOVEL NEIGHBOR, and Verify (discounted, no tax) is available for this visit only through them. LINK FOR BOOK ORDER FORM

September Reading Challenge: Read Anywhere and Everywhere! Students are challenged to take a creative picture of them reading somewhere a little out of the ordinary. In a tree, hanging upside down...the sky’s the limit! All participants will receive a prize, and the most creative picture will get to choose a book to be purchased for the classroom. Pictures can be emailed to kraushaar.katie@wgcloud.org.

This week, students researched a space object of their choice. They then used their research to create a presentation that they presented to the class today (or Monday if we run out of time).
Social Studies: Mr. Cahn
We started the first big unit of the year--Geography. The Five Themes of Geography have been our primary focus and help students to think about our world in different ways.
Their first assignment on this topic is due Monday September 9 at 8:30am.
