Counseling Update
The last day to make schedule changes to spring schedules is next Thursday, January 13. If there is an error on your schedule or missing a class, please schedule an appointment to see your school counselor ASAP. TA positions are available to Juniors and Seniors who have good attendance and discipline records. Schedule changes cannot be made in order to change a teacher.
If you took a class at Solano Community college in the fall, please send a copy of your Solano transcript to your school counselor for those of you who completed a course(s) at SCC last fall semester.
Students Leaving for Appointments
We have had several students who have had video appointments recently and asked to use an empty space on campus. The same above procedures apply for these types of appointments. Unfortunately, we do not consistently have a room available so the best option is for a parent/guardian to meet their child in the parking lot where they can do the appointment from their vehicle.
Winter Ball Update
In order to hold this event, all students and guests will have to wear masks. There will be a designated area for students to eat/drink where masks can be briefly removed. Students can also remove masks briefly for photos.
Students will NOT be able to attend the event if:
- They have symptoms and are not feeling well
- They test positive for COVID-19 within 10 days of the event
- They are unvaccinated and in quarantine due to the fact that they are considered a community based close contact
- They are unvaccinated and considered to be a close contact of a student at school who tests positive (unvaccinated students are able to continue to attend school if they test negative; however, they are unable to participate in extracurricular activities per CDPH guidelines).
If this occurs, students can be reimbursed for the price of their ticket.
At this time, there is not a requirement that students take a COVID test prior to the dance. We send a communication if this changes.
Please see our dance contract as well as our COVID Safety Guidelines for further details.
If you would like to bring a guest, please check your loopmail from Mrs. Working on 12/17/2021.

Shield Parent Group Update
Please join us on Zoom for our next SHIELD meeting on Tuesday, January 11 at 6:30 PM.
Hear updates from Mrs. Working and bring any questions or ideas you have. As a charter school, we greatly value the input of parents/families.
Shield also has some ongoing fundraisers including the mask sale and the commemorative brick sale. See below for more information and to show your support!
SHIELD Fundraiser
Representatives on our Shield parent group are offering a unique opportunity for you and your family and/or business to purchase a decorative brick that will be part of our new school for years to come.
These bricks can be personalized to honor a student, a family member, or a business. We know that these are trying times on many levels, but as a supportive parent group, we want to press forward and continue to raise funds that support teachers and offer senior scholarships, among many other things.
We have two different sizes available 4" x 8" for $200 or 8" x 8" for $300.
To place your order, please go to https://4everbricks.com/donors/BUCKINGHAM/
We will share photos on our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/BuckinghamSHIELD (please go and like our page). As we add more bricks there will be other areas on campus that will host our displays.
If you have any questions or want to order off-line please email fundraisingshield@gmail.com.
