Spotlight on Classrooms
Ms. Zachrich
Ms. Zachrich worked with her students to co-create an assignment to use EarSketch to create a piece of music. Students helped determine the components that would be required in the assignment.
Students needed to understand tempo, coding, and rhythm to complete the assignment. They also search by artist or genre to determine their music. Before they run the script, the program lets students know if there’s an error so that that they can correct it.
Once they’ve finished, they run the scripts and hear the music.
TANGRAMS
PLC
At the forefront of our PLC work is our commitment to student learning. Consider what your PLC is doing to address each of these questions this week.
- What do we expect our students to learn?
- How will we respond when they don’t learn?
- How will we respond if they already know it?
- How will we know they are learning?
How may I help you?
