Soul Café Helpful Hints
It is up to each individual if you want to set up/make coffee before service or during service (I personally feel better if I prep before service)!
**YOU HAVE TO RUN A "TEST POT" OF JUST WATER BEFORE MAKING COFFEE!!!**
Coffee (see instruction sheet in drawer under the coffee maker) typically 2 pots regular and 1 decaf.
If service looks like a “larger” crowd you can make 1 regular pot during soul café.
Treats- usually can be found on top of the soul café cart or on kitchen counter.
At times they may be located in the fridge or freezer,
but we try to let you know if that is the case.
Juice, Milk, & Coffee can be brought to the gathering area on a cart from the kitchen.
You can serve coffee from carafes located underneath island in the kitchen.
Napkins, stirrers, cups, etc should be in the soul café cart. Please make sure the sugar, sweet n low, stirrers, powdered creamer, and napkins are on top of soul café cart to be easily accessible. If something is low you can look in the back kitchen pantry. If you notice something is empty or running low please let Mary or Camilla know.

2020 Stewardship Campaign
Chaddock children’s Adoption: Coming Soon!
Our annual Christmas Adoption is tentatively set to kick off on Sunday, November 10th! Lists will be handed out after 8:45 worship. Please return the unwrapped gifts to PUMC no later than Sunday, December 1st. You can also drop your items off early during week day office hours in the outer office CLEARLY marked. Like last year, from the suggestion of Chaddock personnel, it is being requested that the unwrapped gifts be put into a duffle bag if possible. This provides the resident with a “suitcase” for his or her belongings when leaving Chaddock.
Mary Martha bake sale: Sunday, November 24th
Come get your goodies at the annual Mary Martha Bake Sale on November 24th before and after services! This is one of our big fundraisers for the year with all proceeds going towards missions. If you would like to prepare something for our bake sale we will take any baked good: cookies or bars, pies, rolls, breads, pastries, cakes (anything that could be served over Thanksgiving). Bake Sale prep is set for 2:00pm on Nov. 23. See you at the sale!
Hanging of the Greens: Sunday, November 24th
Hanging of the Greens is set for Sunday, November 24th following our JOINT worship service at 9:45 AM.
The United Methodist Men will be serving a light lunch around 11:30 AM. We will plan to decorate after worship and finish up following lunch. The Hanging of the Greens is a great family event and is a wonderful opportunity to fine tune our focus on the Advent season!
