If you need access to your student(s) Report Cards, please access them in Home Access BEFORE Thursday, July 20th. They will not be accessible after that date.

PK Registration

Parents must complete the online registration process through Katy ISD's PowerSchool Registration website. Only students whose registration paperwork is complete will be offered the opportunity to be screened for EL eligibility or prekindergarten program eligibility.

Please note that due to the limited number of spaces, campus placement is determined by availability at the time of your completed registration process. If the home campus is full, PreK students will be redirected to the closest available campus.

Grades EE-current 4th, if you are moving over the summer and will be at a different Katy campus or outside of Katy ISD please let us know by filing out the attached form. If you already have a new proof of residence, please send it in an email to AmberRKruse@katyisd.org.

5th going to 6th are not included, records will automatically go to the JH campus.

If you have a Bona Fide on file and/or Power of Attorney, they are only good for the school year and will need to be renewed before Aug. 11, 2023.


If you are no longer needing a Bona Fide that you have on file, please send the new Proof of Residence to AmberRKruse@katyisd.org with the student's name in the subject line. Failure to return one could result in child(ren) not being placed in a homeroom.

FREE Summer Meals


All children 18 and under can eat breakfast and/or lunch FREE; they do not have to be enrolled in summer school or a KISD student. Free breakfast and lunch will be available at:

Memorial Parkway Elementary, Rhoads Elementary, King Elementary,Opportunity Awareness Center (OAC)

lunch at Mayde Creek High School, Morton Ranch High School and Paetow High School.

Volunteer and Raptor Registration

Katy ISD is excited to announce the implementation of the Raptor Volunteer Initiative:https://tx50010808.schoolwires.net/Page/8777


Beginning this fall, the district is requiring all volunteers serving on campus during the instructional day to register with the district through its Raptor security system.
Raptor ensures quick and easy volunteer registration allowing individual volunteers to create and manage a personal volunteer profile.
In addition, the Raptor Volunteer Initiative will:

  • Provide an additional layer of protection for Katy ISD students, staff, volunteers, and campus visitors
  • Unite all district volunteers into one Katy ISD volunteer community
  • Measure and communicate the positive impact of Katy ISD volunteer organizations


The volunteer registration requirement will extend to all volunteers serving on or off-campus, during or after the instructional day effective January 2023

KEYS MENTORING

We are searching for campus mentors!


The KEYS Mentoring program (Keep Encouraging Youth toward Success) has been so helpful to our students in Katy ISD. I'm sure you are aware that mentoring creates a positive impact in youth’s lives. They find more self-confidence, self-esteem, and are able to create big goals for themselves. Our goal is for every student who needs a mentor to have one. No waitlists, or students who go without because we are short. If you are open to mentoring or know someone who would love to mentor at Schmalz, please complete or share the application at the link below and be sure to choose Schmalz as your mentor campus. Likewise, if you would like your student to have a mentor, please contact one of the school counselors for more information.
