"Why should I praise God? Because it gets my focus off myself and onto God -- so I can talk to Him and not at him. "

Feed My Sheep....Throughout San Gabriel Valley...Starting in the Equestrian Communities

Girls Fly! creates opportunities to "bring a living Jesus to a dying world." People who may never consider stepping into a church or aren't always aware of how Christ Believers live our faith outside of Sunday. Attendees at the Girls Fly! Race Day Fundraiser at Santa Anita Race Park is the first step to inviting attendees to join us. They will be introduced to opportunities to volunteer on March 12th. They will hear the dream journey stories of people like you and mean. That story includes your unedited faith journey. We show up in their environment and invite them to the Girls Fly! environment.

Taking a "living Jesus to a dying world." This is an opportunity to share the work of Girls Fly! with people who may not go to church, but they love a good time; they are interested in donating, volunteering or honoring women & girls. For many, this will be a "soft" introduction to how the church serves Christ outside of Sunday. We will have an opportunity to interact with people in business, elected office and others who may be de-churched or misunderstand the faith community.

Pray About The Opportunity to Speak Hope & Wisdom Into Girls Via Video Games

"A solitary, silent majority of teenage girls plays video games: often alone, rarely online. When teenage girls do venture online to play games—and a fair chunk of them do, quite regularly—they usually don’t speak.

That’s how you go from a world where 59 percent of all girls between 13 and 17 play video games to a world where teenage girls are assumed not to exist in public video game spaces. That’s all according to a report titled “Teens, Technology, and Friendships,” released earlier this month by the Pew Research Center. The chapter on video games celebrated the role that games play in many male friendships. I was struck, however, by the data about teenage girls. Here are the numbers.

Almost 60 percent of the girls in the study (more than 1,000 teenagers of both sexes, surveyed last fall and this winter) say they play games on a computer, console, or cellphone. Of those girls, 47 percent say they never play online. Another 27 percent say they never even play with someone else in the same room.
