Mrs. Cruz-Martinez brought the experience of making S'mores to her students who had never done it before! They were thrilled and now have a new vocabulary to build upon!

Purple Up for Military Kids!
This week we honored students whose parents/guardians are active duty. We recognize them because they have to be brave, flexible and supportive while their guardian helps to protect our nation. Earth Day at Westside
Explorers had a fantastic time on Earth Day learning about how to protect our Earth and engage in some fun earth-friendly activities! Mrs. McKinney and Mrs. Ceasar had students planting, carrying, harvesting, smelling, making seed pockets, drawing, coloring, and picking up trash around our campus. Check out these smiles!

Dr. Mullins and Mrs. Campbell Visit Westside
Our school was honored to host a visit from our District Superintendent, Dr. Mullins, and School Board Member, Katye Campbell. We were able to showcase how engaged our students are in learning and our one-of-a-kind steel drum band, the Jammers!
