Library Books Due by June 3!

We will be collecting library books and any other books (books checked out from teachers, novels that belong to the school, etc) on June 1 -3.

Drop off will be at the following times:

Monday, June 1st: 10AM - 2PM

Tuesday, June 2nd: 2PM - 6PM

Wednesday, June 3rd: 10AM - 2PM

Book carts will be placed in the front of the school (flag pole side) at the front doors. Please place your student’s books on the cart.

You should receive an email with the list of library items your student has checked out. If your student has lost the book(s), please let me know and I will send you the link to our online store to pay for the lost materials. Feel free to email alovell@humbleisd.net if you have any questions.

Yearbook Update

We have received word that our yearbooks will be delivered closer to June 8th as Balfour is trying to take care of high school yearbooks first.

Once the books have arrived, you will receive an email regarding distribution information. Unfortunately, we will not have a surplus of extra books. Therefore, if you did not pre-order a yearbook, there will not be any extra available. The publisher wanted to have our books printed and shipped as soon as possible, so they are only printing the number of pre-orders needed.

If you would like to check to see if you purchased a book for your student, or have any questions or concerns, please email Mrs. Frugé (linda.fruge@humbleisd.net) directly.

Interested in Student Council?

Are you wanting to be a part of an award winning student-led organization?

Then West Lake Student Council is the club for you!

Our council earned over 5 awards this year for their services to others. We work with our state, community, campus and other clubs such as National Junior Honor Society to create an inspiring and uplifting environment for our peers as well as community members. We have created an informational website that gives you the ins and outs on how to be a member. You can use the link provided or find the link on WLMS- Student Council Website. All members old, and new must complete the requirements by the deadline. Don't worry all the steps are listed in one place and the majority are digital.

All required documents are due no later than, Wednesday, July 29th by noon. You may turn in materials as soon as tomorrow! We accept ALL members that complete the requirements on time. There is no cap to the amount of members we accept, so come join our StuCo family! You will receive an official acceptance email by Thursday, July 30th.

If you have any questions please let the advisors know. You can contact us at brittany.templeton@humbleisd.net or jennifer.skinner@humbleisd.net.

Summer Reading Information

The mission and vision of WLMS are to provide students with learning opportunities that support students to become strong readers, strong writers, strong independent thinkers, and lifelong learners. It is our hope that our students are growing and learning over the summer months, and for this reason, we promote reading throughout the summer.

Make sure you get your school supplies ...

We use a company called EduKit to offer you a way to order school supplies for next year on-line and have them delivered to the school before the first day of class. The teachers in their math class on the first day will pass the kits out and help the students unpack and label them.

Here is the link for ordering: Edukit

The deadline for ordering to have the kit delivered to the school is June 15.

WLMS Virtual Art Gallery

Make sure you take a look at the WLMS Virtual Art Gallery! Mrs. Medefesser's students have been hard at work all year creating beautiful works of art that are displayed for you in a very innovative way!
