Bark-District issued Account Monitoring
Families will receive an initial invitation to create an account for the Bark for Schools Family Alerts Dashboard via email between Feb.3- Feb. 28, 2020.
Keeping students safe on district-issued accounts and devices continues to be of
paramount importance to Klein ISD. We heard from our families in the recent back-
to-school annual Family Survey that our families would like to be able to see what is
happening on their children’s district-issued Google Drive and Gmail accounts. In
response to that request, Klein ISD is providing Bark for Schools.

Course Selection Update!
During the month of January, students in all grade levels completed the
online course selection google form. Counselors visited 6th and 7th
grade students through their Social Studies classes to help students input
their requests into skyward and answer any questions they still had. We
will be sending home a verification of the courses your child selected for
the 2020-2021 school year after spring break. Students will have until
May 8th, 2020 to make changes. There will be an online add/drop form
available in schoology and on the website for students to be able to make
changes beginning on March 1st.
All 8th grade students have completed the online course selection google
form. February 4-6th, counselors will be visiting students through their
Science classes to help students input their requests into the 9th grade
year of students four year plan in skyward. During this time, they will
also be able to answer any questions students may have. On February
18th, Klein Oak counselors will be visiting with students during their
Social Studies classes to complete their four year plan and answer any
questions they may still have about the different pathways offered. We
understand that this can be very stressful for students, but we hope to
make the process as easy as possible. Please be sure to check the four
year plan and pathways folder in schoology for information on all of the
