Picture Day is TOMORROW - Thursday, September 12!
Picture Day is next Thurs, Sept 12th and that picture packets will come home in FYI folders tomorrow (9/5). Students will take both individual and class pictures this time, so all students must wear their uniforms. Dress down/up Picture Day will take place in the spring. Proceeds from picture sales help provide teacher and student treats throughout the year!

Principal Reading Challenge - September
September is Hispanic Heritage month. Read either a fiction book with Hispanic characters in it or read a nonfiction book about a famous Hispanic. Complete a quick book check about the book you read and turn it in for credit. Please see Mrs. Crandall’s Google classroom for more information and the book check slips. *See attached flyer!
Marietta Reads
Marietta Reads is a wonderful community event that takes place on The Square from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm Saturday, September 14th. 4th and 5th grade students have been invited to perform this year. Any student who wants to perform should wear their house shirt (or any MCAA shirt if they have not yet received one) and jeans. We will meet by the Liberty Bell on the square at 12:00 and sing at 12:15.

The Reflections Program is a nationally sponsored PTA cultural arts competition. This year’s theme is “Look Within”.
The purpose of this program is to provide an opportunity for students to use their creative talents by expressing themselves through their own original works.
Categories include:

•LITERATURE
•MUSIC COMPOSITION
•PHOTOGRAPHY
