There is just ONE more week to participate in the Argyle DCC High School Application Challenge - Get It Done by Nov 1!
Has your 8th grade student completed their high school applications yet? Although the DCC High School Choice forms & High School Common Application are not due until Friday Nov, 6th we are challenging Argyle 8th grade students to get it done by Nov. 1! Please research your school choices and submit your high school forms in early. We are going to raffle 3 amazing prizes for students who complete their application by Nov 1. On Monday, students will go to all of their periods. On Tuesday and Wednesday there will be no school for students. Thursday will be an odd day and Friday an even day. Please see the schedule below.
Virtual Athletics
Dear Parents/Guardians,
The middle school interscholastic athletics program is available for students in sixth, seventh, and eighth grade and consists of three virtual sports seasons, including, winter (basketball), and spring (soccer). The middle school virtual athletic seasons consists of two student-athlete and coach engagement sessions per week, for a total of six engagement sessions over the course of approximately three to four weeks. The fall virtual season is scheduled to occur on Tuesdays and Thursdays after-school, beginning on Tuesday, October 26, 2020, and finishing on Thursday, November 20, 2020.
All students participating in the winter virtual season, as part of the MCPS interscholastic athletics program, must complete the online registration process. Registration is done electronically through the Argyle Athletics Registration form Argyle Magnet Middle School Athletics, which is also posted on the school’s website. Students and parents/guardians who have difficulty with registration should contact Eric Franklin at Eric_S_Franklin@mcpsmd.org.

Zoom Lunches in the Virtual Media Center - Social time!
Drop-in, ask questions, give book recommendations, play Kahoots or other online games, get a breakout room with friends... this is students' virtual space to socialize, play, or get help with anything.
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday - Open lunches for all grades from 11:30 - 12 noon.

Additional Bus Stop Locations Added to Meal Service Program
MCPS is expanding the number of meal service sites for the community. In addition to the 74 school sites, students and families can pick up meals on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday at several bus stop locations throughout the county from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. More information is available at www.montgomeryschoolsmd.org/reopening/meals/.
Live Virtual Lesson Absence Form
Parents or guardians should use the live virtual lesson absence form to document excused absences from live virtual lessons. The form must be completed for each day of absence from a live virtual lesson. Please check your email to access the form.
