General Information

We have allowed an ample amount of time for students to get acclimated to their schedules. We have started counting tardies. Tardies, when accumulated, will have disciplinary consequences tied to them. Additionally, tardies will have a negative effect on Pirate Pride qualifications and semester final exemptions. Please encourage your child to maximize their passing period and report to class on time.

We have also started charging for badges. If your child happens to forget their badge at home, we will allow them to call you in an attempt to have it delivered in a timely manner. If it can't be delivered, we will re-print a badge and assess a $5 fine to their account. This fine will be reflected and skyward and it will notify you via email. From there, links can be followed to pay the fine through our online store. To minimize any undue frustration, please help us by checking for badges before leaving home in the morning. As a safety measure, all staff and students are required to wear them daily. Thanks in advance!

Academic UIL

Sign-ups for academic UIL close on the 7th. We encourage all students to sign-up and tryout for teams. Those who participate will be eligible to attend a field trip at a later date. Please see the additional information below.

Fees In Skyward

Any fee that is assessed in Skyward must be taken care of before students can participate in Pirate Pride or Semester Exemptions (if they qualify). We will try to have our first Pirate Pride before the end of the grading period.

Reporting Absences

This school year, we will implement a new way for parents/guardians to submit absences. This process will allow absence requests to be submitted ahead of time in Skyward. Please click the button below to learn how.

****If you are only checking your child out for a short period of time, such as a doctor's appointment, please unselect the check mark where "all day" is indicated. This will allow you to enter a specific time frame.****

8th Grade Banquet

Best is the standard

We have several signs throughout the building that say "Best is the STANDARD." As discussed on the second day of school, this slogan is applicable to every aspect of life. Wether it's studying, competing, helping others, cleaning, behaving positively, or anything else, we want students to do their absolute BEST. If their mindset is "Best is the STANDARD," great things are going to happen!!

Bus Ridership

***Students must have a badge to scan ON and OFF. If they do not have a badge, they will not be able to ride.***

Academic UIL

We need all teams to be filled. Please see the graphic below regarding teams that still have openings. Please encourage your child to compete in academic UIL. Students who participate will be able to attend a field trip on a later date.

Pirate Pride Eligibility Criteria

We will try to have our first Pirate Pride day before the end of the grading period. This is an incentive based "fun period" that students have the opportunity to qualify for throughout each grading period. Academics, attendance, behavior, and overall respect are of great importance to us.
