Thank you for a great week! We are looking forward to quarter 2 starting on Monday as today ends quarter one. Final grades for this quarter should be published next Friday from the home schools.
Our October monthly focus is on thinking and inquiring! We continue to explore new ways to explore of depths of understandings.

Viraj Bajoria - IB Diploma Student - Dublin Teen Buddy program
Viraj is a student ambassador with Forever Dublin, part of the city’s initiative to provide resources to aging citizens. He expanded the organization to pair teens with older adults for conversation and friendship, dubbing it the Dublin Teen Buddy program. (Photo from City of Dublin)

College Credit Plus (CCP) for CSCC at Emerald Campus
If your student is needing additional support, the student can meet for office hours on Fridays here at Emerald with their composition instructor, visit our LLC for help from our librarian, or go directly through CSCC for help (support https://www.cscc.edu/academics/departments/english/writing-center.shtml).
PATHS Products is open for business!
Our students learn employability skills and life skills through our work with the PATHS Products business. The profits assist students who may find community learning opportunities to be a financial hardship and other items in our program.

Upcoming Dates
Ohio Healthy Youth Environments Survey (OHYES!) is a youth survey designed to measure the health risk behaviors and environmental factors that impact youth health and safety. Please see the flyer or click the link below to understand the context of the survey, questions on the survey, and how we will use the results.
Here are some general points:
- You can view all of the questions ahead of time on the OHYES website: https://ohyes.ohio.gov/
- You may opt your child out at any time. (Preferably 2 days or more prior to the administration is helpful.).
- Students can skip questions and move on. They do not have to answer every question.
- If a child refuses to take the survey, they are not required to take it.
- All students 7-12 are taking the 119 question survey.
Please complete the OPT-OUT FROM if you would prefer your son or daughter not to participate.
