Recess & Winter

Your child will be given approximately 20 minutes each day for recess. Please be sure your child is dressed appropriately for the weather. We will have indoor recess if it is raining, lightning, or in cases of extremely cold temperatures or wind chills (temperature below 0 or windchill of 10 below or colder). Decisions impacting recess will be based on local conditions and according to We are not able to accommodate requests for a child to remain inside for recess unless a doctor’s note has been submitted to the health office.

If you need assistance with providing winter clothing, please contact your child's homeroom teacher. If your child (1st & 2nd grade) forgets an article of outdoor clothing, they must remain on the blacktop or the playground area. For 3rd-5th graders, they are told to make their own choice on where to play. Extra clothing is not available if your child gets wet while playing outside.

When the sledding hill is open, the recess paras will provide your child with a sled. Do not send your child to school with a sled.

Don't Forget to Order Your Yearbook!

Yearbook orders can now be made by going to this link. Orders are due by Jan 31. We do order a very limited amount of extra yearbooks that will be for sale. All yearbooks will be distributed during the last week of school. For more information, see this flyer
