We would like to thank our families, vendors, and staff who made our picnic a true success! We loved seeing everyone! Getting to know new families and vendors and reacquainting ourselves with everyone. A great time was had by all!

Map testing begins

Map testing will begin on August 29th. If you haven't signed up yet, please contact your Sponsor Teacher. Due to district procedures newly enrolled students may not appear on the MAP testing roster yet, we will do our best to eliminate any delays.


We are working to make all assessments valid and more valuable as tools for the growth of our students!

fastbridge testing new to FPCS

ASD has been administering the FastBridge assessment for a few years now, but starting this year the test will also specifically serve to fulfill the requirements of the new AK Reads legislation. It is a great diagnostic assessment that provides useful data about your student's reading.


All kindergarten - 3rd grade students are invited to test. Testing will be held on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, September 20-22, between 3:00pm and 6:00pm, at Central MS / PAIDEIA. The assessment is administered one-on-one and takes less than 10 minutes to complete. Students will be tested on a first come / first served basis. You won't need to sign up ahead of time - you can just show up on any one of the three dates provided.

Library is closed! August 29th -September 9th

Our library will be closed due to testing. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you.

Student and Parent I.D.'s

If you were unable to make it to our picnic or didn't want to wait in line at the picnic, and would like to get an I.D. you can send a headshot with the name of student/and or parent to Donna Baker @ barker_donna@asdk12.org . Then when it is ready Donna will email you to pick it up. You are also welcome to come in to our office anytime during normal business hours 8:30am-3:30am Monday thru Friday, if you do this please be sure to check the calendar on our website for closure days. Thank you.

ox academy

Ox Academy is our in-house online program that offers a full catalog of challenging core and elective classes where 9th-12th grade students can earn .5 semester credit. Cost is $200 per semester class and are taught by ASD homeschool teachers.
