Sock Drive
VCSA runs a friendly competition every year to provide new, warm socks to those in need. This year we are including the annual sock drive in our Catholic Schools Week Calendar of Events as our community service project! Our Goal is to Bring in 300 pairs of new socks this year! That is approximately 2 pairs of socks for every student, faculty and staff, easy right? We are in search of new socks for all sizes but especially men as they make up the greater portion of our homeless population in Tacoma.
Of course we vikings like to add in a little competition so the class that brings in the most pairs of socks will win a "winter wonderland" party! There will also be a prize for the student who brings in the most pairs of socks in each class.
Since it is Catholic School's Week there will be an incentive everyday!
- Monday- Every pair of new socks brought in earns your class "double credit"!
- Tuesday- Take a pair of new socks with you to lunch and trade them to Student Council for an ice cream sundae!
- Wednesday- Trade for a treat!
- Thursday- Wear jeans to school if you have a new pair of socks to donate when you get there!
- Friday- Trade socks for an extra five minutes of recess!

Just a friendly reminder...Absences and Tardies
Please email or call the office before 9 AM for absences and tardies. You are welcome to call the night before if you know your child will be absent or tardy. A quick email (loughridgec@visitationschool.net) or phone call to the school saves our lovely office ladies from having to call you.
Also, if your child is tardy three times in a trimester, they will not be allowed to participate in the next free dress opportunity. Doors open at 8:00 AM and students need to be in their classrooms by 8:15 AM.
