Google Classroom Tips

Google Classroom has already had one major update and we're sure they will continue to make changes and improve it's use. Here are a couple of tips for you.


Tip 1: When naming assignments use a 3 digit numbering system. For example, #001 Classifying Fixed and Flexible Expenses on a Budget and #002 Chapter 1 Budgeting Review Worksheet. This will allow you to easily refer to the assignments as assignment 1 or assignment 22 instead of having to restate the long name.


Tips 2: Use Classroom with clubs, teams, organizations or groups of students. Differentiate activities by grouping in unique ways. Think outside the box with Google Classroom ideas!


Tip 3: When having students complete a Google form for an assessment or assignment, since there isn't anything to "Turn In" the students can click the "Mark as Done" button. You will see how many have completed the form and who still needs to complete the form. See the image below.
