Hello, Longwood Families!
Longwood Leaders
This week we had the opportunity to celebrate our November Longwood Leaders for demonstrating Empathy. These leaders have demonstrated exceptional kindness, understanding, and compassion within our school community. Their ability to empathize and support others is commendable and we are grateful to have such role models among our Pride! Please see the video below for clips from our assembly and all of our winners. The trait for the Month of December is Respect and we look forward to celebrating these leaders on Friday, December 22nd.
Multicultural Night
Multicultural Night was a success! A special thank you to Mrs. Elkhatib for going above and beyond in coordinating a celebration filled with engaging activities and opportunities to showcase our community’s diversity! Thank you to Mr. Raya, Mrs. LaShure, Ms. Burgoon, and all of our families and community members for hosting tables and/or volunteering!
Winter Assistance
With the colder weather settling in, we want to remind our families that support is available. If you find yourself in need of winter gear (coats, hats, gloves) or assistance with gifts or other supplies, please connect with us. Our school community is here to support one another, and your well-being is important to us. If you or someone you know is in need of additional resources, please contact Student Services Coordinator, Jen Campen: jennifer_campen@ipsd.org 630-428-6789.
Please continue reading for photo highlights from Multicultural Night and other important reminders and upcoming events.
Have a wonderful weekend, Lions! Thank you for being a part of our Pride!
