Big picture

Conference Celebration Week

The Haverhill PTC knows that Teachers and Staff are always extremely busy during the week of parent teacher conferences. We would love your help in creating some goodie bags of snacks and drinks to help keep everyone fueled for the week! Please consider donating an item or two, or some time to help fill our bags! Items can be dropped off in the front office no later than October 6th. Assembly of bags and items will take place on October 7th in the cafeteria after school hours.

Parent/Teacher Conferences: No School October 15

Have you signed up to meet with your child's teacher? The week of October 11th - 15th teachers will have designated openings to meet with all families. During this time, the teacher will share student strengths, information about grading, Canvas tutorials, and areas of growth for the year. Please connect with your teacher if you have any questions.

Thank you, HES Bus Drivers!

Celebrate HES Bus Drivers on Monday, October 19 - Friday, October 22.

Our HES drivers are simply the BEST at keeping our students safe each and every day. Please keep them in mind during these dates by having your student write a special note, sharing a smile or kind word, and lifting them up throughout the week.

Costume Parade

A yearly tradition at Haverhill is to have a costume parade as part of our fall celebrations. The parade will be held outside this year on Friday, October 29, pending weather reports for the day. If it rains on our parade, we will move inside, socially distanced as much as possible.

All costumes will be put on over clothing or part of the students attire for the day. Students will not change in the restrooms, they will be adding it over their original outfit that was worn to school.

  1. Students will create, find, or put together a creative costume that they love.
  2. An adult will approve the costume to make sure that it is appropriate for school. No scary costumes. Keep your costumes simple.
  3. Students that brings a costume to school that is a concern, may not be able to wear it. Teachers will use their discretion.
  4. Students will place the costume in their bookbag to bring to school.
  5. Teachers will have students change into costumes prior to the parade (approx. 2:15 PM).

If outside, the parade will occur around our Haverhill building. A specific walking path will be presented for an indoor or outdoor parade. Due to restrictions that are in place due to COVID-19, parents will not be allowed to participate in the parade. We would also ask that parents not come together in crowds or groups to help stop the spread.

We are excited to continue our HES tradition!

Jog Walk

A huge thank you to Mrs. Stout for organizing another successful Jog Walk! It was awesome to see all of our students running, parents encouraging, and our Hawks including everyone in the jog/walk no matter their ability.
