COMMUNITY UPDATE

November 2021

Dear Lindenwold Lion Families,

I wanted to reach out to follow up on last evening's communication. Today was a very successful day of school for our students. The day began with an increased police presence at the High School and concluded the same way. All counselors throughout the District met with administration first thing this morning as did the Child Study Team to ensure we were prepared to support any student in need.

Attached to this correspondence, I have included last evening's communications from the District. It is imperative we have your up-to-date, accurate contact information. Although we do utilize social media, Real Time is our primary form of communication.

It is important for all families to understand our safety and security protocols. As such, I have provided you with an overview of the safety and security procedures, our communication protocols, and an overview of District expectations. This will be posted on our reopening website in both English and Spanish in the upcoming days.

In the event your child has questions regarding an incident of violence they have viewed on television, the news, etc., you may wish to reference the below tips for parents and teachers. (This resource has been prepared by the National Association of School Psychologists.) You may also always reach out to your child's school principal or guidance counselor with any questions or concerns.

Finally, I would like to address a few final and outstanding questions I received regarding last evening's Press Release:

- The photograph referenced in the Prosecutor's Press Release was not school related.

- At no time was there a known or direct threat made to staff, students, or any member of the Lindenwold School Community

Please remember the District is unable to provide comment to an on-going investigation. Any additional questions or concerns should be addressed to Mr. Peter Brandt, Lindenwold High School Principal or Dr. Kristin P. O'Neil, Lindenwold District Superintendent.

On behalf of the District, I sincerely thank you for your support and understanding during this time.
