A Message from the Principal

Dear Bagby Families-

I am so impressed by the kindness and empathy from our Bagby students and families. The Pennies for Paradise Drive raised over $1,100. This is truly an amazing outpouring of support for our school community in Paradise. One fun fact - there were over 6,000 pennies in our penny drive!!!! Our amazing HSC will match the Penny Drive donations up to $2000. Thank you all for coming together to support Paradise.

Thank you for kindness,

Annie Murphy, Principal

Family Triathlon & Fitness Festival

Exciting news! Cambrian Schools are partnering with Almaden Valley Athletic Club for a family triathlon and fitness festival on Saturday, Feb. 9th. The 24th Annual TriAVAC event will be a great introduction to the sport of triathlon and racing. It's a family day filled with races, swim, food and fun, featuring activities for children as young as 2 years old up to grandparents.

AVAC has graciously chosen to donate all proceeds from the event to Cambrian Schools. Participate in this fantastic event, or volunteer and help bring valuable resources to Cambrian Schools.

Reminders

Back Parking Lot:

The back parking lot on Curtner Avenue is for staff only. It is NOT to be used to drop off students in the morning. It is a small lot with very little room to turn around, making it very dangerous.

Early Release on Wednesdays:

PLEASE REMEMBER that Wednesdays are early release days. The release schedule is as follows:

TK/K - 1:00 pm

1st - 3rd grades - 1:25 pm

4th & 5th grades - 1:15 pm

Emergency Contacts:

Students can only be released from school to the parent/guardian or emergency contacts listed on the students Emergency Form on file at school. The person picking up the student must be an adult 18 years of age or older. We cannot release students early unless we have a note from you or you come to pick up your student in person. Please make sure your emergency contacts are up to date. If you have not identified any emergency contacts please do so.

School Absence Line:

If your child will be absent from school please call our absence line (408-377- 3882 & press OPTION #1). You must call in EACH DAY of your child’s absence. EMAILING YOUR TEACHER does not replace your phone call into the attendance line.

Late Arrivals or Early Departures:

If your son/daughter will be late because of a doctor’s appointment, call the Attendance Office and let us know the student’s arrival time and the reason for the tardiness.

If your child is leaving early, send a note with them in the morning for the attendance office indicating what time you will be picking them up. Please try to avoid picking them up during recess and/or lunch as it is very difficult to find children on the playground.
