Changing the Conversation about Education in SD113A

We would like to take this opportunity to invite you to join us to hear how we are changing the conversation about education in District 113A.

State of the District Presentation

Wednesday, Oct. 7th, 6pm

16100 127th Street

Lemont, IL

The State of the District presentation will outline the goals within the District’s Strategic Plan. During the presentation, we will provide an overview regarding the following topics: district finances, student progress and achievement, enrollment trends, programming, technology, district system assessment, communications, facilities and operations, Board of Education efforts, and parent and community engagement plans.

After we provide the overview, we will then share future goals and aspirations of the district. Last school year, the District reviewed and updated its Strategic Plan and created Core Values of the District. As a result of the Core Values, we are creating a future vision of the district that:

  • provides a world-class learning environment for every child in District 113A.
  • is focused on student progress and growth.
  • challenges, inspires, and supports every child.
  • is focused on excellence, pride, and opportunities.
  • embraces the notion of community.
  • takes a systemic approach.

Our updated vision statement includes the ideas of innovative learning, collaborative communication, and responsive citizenship as foundational principles aligned to our Core Values. We are excited to share our vision with the community.

The success of a school district has a tremendous impact on the community it serves, and it is our goal to provide open, transparent and proactive communications to our stakeholders about our areas of strength and areas of continued growth. As a result, we invite all community members to attend this important session regardless of whether or not you have children attending our district schools. Everyone in our community who is interested in having an impact on the future of our schools is encouraged to attend.
