Energy Resources
Chapter 5 - Section 2
Solar Energy
The Advantages are:
- not only sustainable for energy consumption
- indefinitely renewable.
The disadvantages are:
- sun doesn't shine 24 hours a day
- When the sun goes down or is heavily shaded
Wind Energy
The advantages are:
- It's a clean fuel source
- Wind energy doesn't pollute the air
Disadvantages:
- wind farms are noisy and may spoil the view
- Cost a lot of money to make
Hydroelectric Energy
Advantages are:
- a clean fuel source
- won't pollute the air
Disadvantages are:
- environment is affected by some means then all the animals
- plants and human beings are also affected
Geothermal Energy
Advantages:
- Geothermal energy is renewable energy
- can be pumped back into the ground.
Disadvantages:
- Can hurt people
- Kills plant and animals
Biomass
advantages:
- part of the carbon cycle
- absorbed into plants during photosynthesis
Disadvantages:
- Expensive
- Require More Land
