The Acropolis was mainly used as a building for people to come and gather at. It is also used to make political decisions and to take event in the Olympic Games.

Why is the Acropolis so Important

The Acropolis building was very important because it was a home or sanctuary to other temples and was the focus for Athenian Festival which was a highly celebrated event. Perikles also the creator of the Acropolis, he thought it made him look more powerful knowing he could create such an amazing building.
