Sea Levels Effecting Shorelines
By Jade Bamford Per 7
The problem needs to end now! We need to do something about our rising sea levels.
Ocean
Over time, this ocean is going to rise by about 1 inch per decade. Maybe even more.
Shorelines Getting Eroded
If the sea levels continue to rise, this shoreline may not be even visible anymore. The water will eventually reach the top of the sand and will erode the shoreline.
Glaciers Causing Sea Levels To Rise
These melting glaciers are causing the sea levels to rise. The average temperatures are rising, so the glaciers are melting.
Causes
Problem
The problem is that the sea levels are on the rise all around the world. If this continues to happen, rising seas will erode the shorelines and make them invisible.
Effects
Glaciers Melting Over Time
What is happening here is that the temperatures are continuing to rise and the glaciers are melting.
Sea Levels Rising
Then, the oceans sea level is rising.
Oceans Eroding Shorelines
The oceans powerful waves will eventually erode the shorelines.
Solutions
Greenhouse Gases
We need to reduce greenhouse gases by 40 to 70 percent.
Trees
We can also plant more trees.
Solar Panels
Lastly, we could use solar panels.
